"Danger Of A Single Story"

1)What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community?

Is to have an idea about a place where you have never gone to and you make assumptions about it, usually never good thoughts.

What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community?

2)Describe a single story you have heard told about your community.

I have heard people saying that in my community every person is s thug and that they have no future. They do not know that a lot of people where I live at they actually go to school and they do have bright futures. I think that they really need to go to my community and actually hang out with people so that they can see what is really going on.

3)Describe a single story you have heard about another community. How did you learn that story? How could you find out more about that community?

I found out about the single story of the east side of Austin. I have always lived on the North side of Austin so when I heard that the east side is a really bad side to study at because of all the drop outs and the gangs and drugs I was really scared because I had to study in this certain area. Once I went to the school and really spent time in this side of Austin I realized that it was not like how people describe it. Yes it does have drugs and gangs but its not everywhere.

4)How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or community?

It can tell them by making the game with information about the certain topic that they have in order for them to learn more. I could also have images or pictures about the topic.

CYBERBULLY

1) How does the main character feel about using "clicksters" in the beginning of the film?
she thinks is not something that she would use specially because her mom is always watching her back.

2) What is her family situation?
she has a lot of rules and her mom is a single parent. her and her brother do not get along very well. her mother is super protective and she is angry at the time with her father.

3) What type of friendships does she have?
Really good ones.they actually care about her but then they start to have a little problem.

4) When does the Cyber-bulling begin?
When a girl and Lynsey starts saying bad things about her on her clicksters page.

5) What is the rest of the Cyber-bulling that Taylor experiences?

she gets called names and gets bullied at all times. they post tings about her that are not true.

6) What type of Cyber-Bulling does Taylor experience?

impersonate

7) What would you do if you where on Taylor's shoes?

i would of declined my page the first timed that they told me something.

8) How does Taylor react to the mean comments people keep posting about her?

She is really sad and mad that people would actually post things about her. she also got to a point that she was going to commit suicide.

9) Does she even try to stop people from posting insults? what could she have done different?

no she did not. she could of tell her mom or an adult in order for them to stop it.

10) How do you think Taylor felt about her friends betraying her?

She feels down and she feels lie if she cant trust anyone.

11) What kind of changes do you see Taylor experience thought the film?

She is now at her house all the time and she doesn't do online no more at all.

What should you do if you are being cyberbullied?

What u should do if you are being cyberbullied is tell an adult, ignoring the person, reporting the person, and saving the messages as prove.

What are some reasons that people cyberbylly others?

Some of the reasons that people cyberbully other is to make them feel good or to feel the feeling of making someone else feel something that they have. They feel jealousy for you and they want to feel powerful then anyone.
