My Gaming Habits

What types of games do you enjoy playing? What are the titles?

I enjoy playing Strategy games such as "Jewels", "Bloxorz" and "Don't Fall"

When did you begin playing games, on what type of game system?

I Started playing games when i was around 6 years old and I played the Nintendo 68.

Do your parents/guardians limit the amount of time you are allowed to play games?

My mom does NOT limit the time that i play video games, Specially because I am not a game addict, I hardly even play video games.

Do you think it is possible to get completely addicted to playing video games? Why or why not?

I think that there is a possibility that people can get really addicted but as I mentioned I don't think that will ever happen to me.

Globaloria and Gamefication, Game Design, & Game Mechanics.

What do you learn in Globaloria?
In Globaloria class all of the students are able to learn how to create a virtual game from scratch and we are also always learning how to interact with other people while making your game.

I have learned a lot of creativity, independence, critical thinking, intelligence, flexibility and integrity.

How can these skills prepare you for a successful academic future and how could you use these skills to find a great job?

This skills are going to prepare me for my future in various ways. one of the ways that is going to affect me positively is that they are going to teach me how to help other people and also how to figure out things by myself. It is also going to help me by figuring new ways of seeing things in this world specially if am I am going to be in a place where my creativity is going to be needed all the time.

Tell me what the difference is between Gamification, Game Mechanics, and Game Design.

Gamification: Its adding this together to a place or thing that does necessarily have them.

Game Mechanics: Its how the game actually works

Game design: Its all the creation of the game in every aspect.

New Goals For 2012

I have various goals for this year. I am going to try to accomplish all of them and I know that I am capable of making this happen. This is my list of goals!:

1) Become a better athlete!
2) Turn in my Reading Log in E.L.A class.
3) Be On time to class
4) Get NO tiger tracks.
5) Wear my ID!!.
6) Get commended performance on the STAAR test.
7) Pass my Spanish literature exam for college credit.
8) Get perfect attendance!!!

10) Not getting tiger tracks at all.

11) Pay more attention is Social Studies!

About My Topic

My topic is about: Gang Violence

This issue interests me because:

Gang violence interests me because there is a lot of gang violence going on now days. there is not one day when you can actually turn on the television and change it into a news channel without watching something about gangs and violence. I am really into this topic and I have really creative ideas for my game.

I want people to learn:

I will really like to teach people how gangs are affecting the citizens of the United States. There are innocent people who are getting affected because of this so called gangsters that are only causing us trouble. I would like to make them learn the actual statistics of the gangs and where they are located. I would also like to teach them some of the cases where people do not have to do anything about this tragic cases but they still end up being hurt in some kind of way.

This issue need to be addressed because:

Gang violence really need to be addressed because there is people dyeing every single day. there are gang member who had a future ahead of them. Its really sad to see this people end up like this when they are so smart. I also think it should be addressed because its not worth ed for them to live their gang member lives which the most could last ten years and that is if you dint get beat up until dead, intoxicated with drugs, or just getting shot, or in prison. its not worth it at all.
