Playing to learn

I learned a lot of things by playing this games. I learned that not just because its a looking for things game it doesn't have to be boring. I also learned a new way of making games because i have never actually seen this as an idea for the making of my video games. This has just helped me a lot in ideas.

Danger of a Single story

"Danger Of A Single Story"

1)What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community?
Is to have an idea about a place where you have never gone to and you make assumptions about it, usually never good thoughts.

What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community?
2)Describe a single story you have heard told about your community.
I have heard people saying that in my community every person is s thug and that they have no future. They do not know that a lot of people where I live at they actually go to school and they do have bright futures. I think that they really need to go to my community and actually hang out with people so that they can see what is really going on.

3)Describe a single story you have heard about another community. How did you learn that story? How could you find out more about that community?
I found out about the single story of the east side of Austin. I have always lived on the North side of Austin so when I heard that the east side is a really bad side to study at because of all the drop outs and the gangs and drugs I was really scared because I had to study in this certain area. Once I went to the school and really spent time in this side of Austin I realized that it was not like how people describe it. Yes it does have drugs and gangs but its not everywhere.

4)How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or community?
It can tell them by making the game with information about the certain topic that they have in order for them to learn more. I could also have images or pictures about the topic.

A New Year

My school year has been really different from last year. A lot of things have changed since last year. The main thing that made everything like if we have moved a level up and that we are more advanced now is the new campus. I have really liked the new campus because of the the gym and one things that i do not like is that we have to eat in the gym because we do not have a cafeteria yet. i have really liked the classes so far though i have to say that the new teachers are really getting our attention and we are getting adapted to them really fast. Almost all the people staff is new in our school but they are really cooperating and they are being nice to us and trying to get adapted. This year i am trying to accomplish obtaining all As ! last year I only had a B as my grade for the class and it was a 89! i wouldn't like to have the same problem holding me back this year. I also want to be more healthy and to be more active . This year i am going to play all sport in order to accomplish this goal ! I want to be stronger and maybe even loose weight in order to have a healthier life. I would like to learn another language since there is not any programs for foreign languages at the moment, I have not been able to work on this goal yet but the school is already working for it. I want this year to be amazing academically and also sports wise!

Globeys!

1. What did you think about the article?
I really liked the article. I enjoy when people recognize us for our accomplishments.

2. How did it make you feel to read about your school and Globaloria, a program that you participate in.
I really like when people and companies talk about our school specially when i am involved in it.

3. If your game was featured in the article, how did it make you feel? Proud, happy?
I was actually one of the finalist but my game was not mentioned at all which got me a little upset.

4. If your game was not featured in the article, what would you like for the author to have said about your game?
I would of loved for my game to be mentioned and for the author to say what everyone says about my game "Its super hard!!" Ha but I would of really liked it.

5. Which game do you think the author should have mentioned in his article and why?
I think that this article should had mention my game and also Devin's game. Not only because we were both finalist but because both of us worked really hard to make it to the Globeys and get out topic across.

Forks Over Knives

1. I think hat this documentary is going to be about eating. I know that it has to do with food because it has eating utensils. I think that is going to be about either taking advantage of eating of learning about healthy eating.
2. I think that the tittle catches the audience eye because it makes you think about food and people are attracted to them. We generally use a fork to eat healthy things and we use a knife to eat meat so this tittle has to do a lot with the movie.

Notes:
This documentary already got my attention really bad! I got sooo surprised because of the lady eating the hamburger and it had more calories than a normal person should eat a day! I am really scared because it also said that one out of three people have diabetes now days. this documentary is going to be amazing!
